1st Rule of Skin Care

No matter how many skincare products, treatments, regimes etc. etc. you do or have to help your skin issues or concerns, there's pretty much no point unless you have adequate hydration.

The most fundamental part of skincare is to ensure your body and skin are well hydrated, internally with H2O and externally with correct skin care. Without either of these your body may not be as efficient and will struggle with repair and function of your skin, collagen, elastin - all those important parts of our body that keep us looking good!

The internal part is relatively easy... drink 6-8 glasses of water, (although I admit I do struggle with this!) However externally we require some topical assistance, especially as we get a little older, to replace the loss of Hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the skin and is a key compound that keeps our skin youthful and hydrated.

Replacing Hyarulonic acid is the most effective way to repair damaged, ageing skin - it has the ability to hold 1000 times its weight in water!

So, before you rush out and spend thousands on skin care products, you need to assess the hydration level of your skin... a good way to do this is to see a professional or a not so reliant way is look in the mirror very closely and push the skin on your face up, if it goes crepey (not sure if thats a word?) like crepe paper then that may be one sign your skin is dehydrated. Please remember that oily does not mean hydrated!

If you would like to find out if your skin is dry or would like more information about skin care or hyarulonic acid, I offer a free skin consult with any purchase of skin care product.
