Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have gorgeous long thick eyelashes without having to apply mascara or glue heavy plastic false lashes on every day? This is just a brief overview as there is so many different aspects including colours, volume etc. i'd be here forever!

What are Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions?

Semi-permanent Eyelash Extensions are individual eyelashes that are glued to one of your lashes to make it look longer and thicker, this in turn (if applied correctly) making your eyes look bigger and more open!

How long do Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions last?

About 3 - 6 weeks depending on your lifestyle... sweating, swimming, oily products, rubbing, how you sleep etc. will shorten the time your lashes will remain on. Eyelash Extensions are designed to fall out as your natural lashes do. Healthy natural eyelashes generally have a 90 day cycle however this can be affected by poorly applied eyelash extensions, lifestyle and medical conditions/medication.

What size Eyelash Extensions should I get?

This can usually determined by the lash technician as it is based on the length, thickness and curve of your natural lashes as well as your eye shape and face shape, plus whether or not your wear glasses etc. -

In order to achieve a more open almond shape eye the technician needs to make sure the Eyelash Extension is not going to be too heavy, as this may drag the natural lash down, or too long as this may just look ridiculous!

To give you an idea of the different sizes and curls:

Curl:

B Curl - a soft curl that gives your lashes a natural yet enhanced ‘lift’

C Curl - opens the eye with its extra curl

D Curl - extreme lift and curl

L Curl - this lash has a straight base and then lifts upwards to create lift and curl for those with very straight or downward pointing lashes

Thickness:

.06mm - The finest lash used for extreme volume lashes

.07mm - Incredibly fine lash used for volume lashes

.10mm - Very fine lashes, perfect for 2D and 3D volume lashing or just for use on very fine natural lashes.

.15mm - Most popular lash thickness as they're lightweight enough for most natural lashes while still being fine enough to look super natural

.20mm - Suitable for strong, healthy natural lashes – these thicker lashes are most commonly used for photographic work, weddings and other events.

Length:

Length can range from 5mm to 16mm. Eyelash Extensions should not be more than 30 to 50% longer than the length of your natural lash. Due to the weight of the lash which if left on for too long can affect the lash follicle which may cause drooping and lash growth! If you are wanting a dramatic look then this should be fine as a once off for special occasions however not recommended for everyday wear.

How do I care for Semi-Permanent Eyelash Extensions?

Do not get them wet for at least 24 hours
Avoid swimming, saunas, spas & steam for 48 hours
Do not rub, pick or pull your Eyelash Extensions
Do not use heat around your Eyelash extensions, ie. heated eyelash curlers, blow dryers
Do not use waterproof mascara
Do not use products containing oil, glycol or solvents
Do not try to remove the Eyelash Extensions yourself!
Do use a lash conditioner to maintain the health of your natural lashes
Do groom your lashes with a disposable mascara wand
Do contact your lash technician if you are experiencing any discomfort
Do book in for your lash infills every 2 - 4 weeks
